BIO:

I am a partner with Stern & Edlin Family Law, P.C. and have practiced exclusively in the area of family law for 9 years. I am a Team Leader with the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law American Inn of Court and have extensive experience in high asset divorce and complex child custody cases.  I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology summa cum laude from Georgia College & State University in 2008 and my Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2011.

PHILOSOPHY

I knew I wanted to practice family law beginning in elementary school when a close family member was adopted from a difficult home environment. The entire process left a lasting impact on me, and I specifically remember the Guardian ad Litem who was a crucial part of its success.  Guardian ad Litem work is vital as the children at the center of a custody dispute find themselves in difficult situations over which they have no control and for which they have no liability. As such, representing their best interests is a responsibility I do not take lightly. I am also a father of two boys, ages 6 and 4, and my experiences as a dad also contribute to the seriousness with which I take my role.
