Attorney, mediator and guardian ad litem

BIO:

I have been practicing law for 12 years and partnered with my husband, David, five years ago to form a family law practice, specializing in high-conflict custody cases. I graduated in 2007 from Harvard Law School and am currently president of the family law secton of our county bar association. I began my career as a pubic defender in 2008 and transitioned to private practice in 2012.

PHILOSOPHY:

David and I are passionate about helping children in custody cases who feel caught in the middle of the conflict. David grew up in the foster care system and my mother was a social worker. Both of us understand how important it is to support children when they are faced with situations out of their control. However, because of our experience in working with parents in high conflict divorce, I understand how the conflict can spin out of control and can be worsened by attorneys who are only focused on the win. I feel I bring a good balance of advocating for the children, but understanding the parents’ needs as well.
